Meet Our Featured Illustrator:

Tim Billman has been drawing since anyone can remember, be it as a toddler taking a marker to his poor mother's bedroom wall or as a freelance illustrator working on the Hare on the Stare book series. He has always loved the combination of visual arts with storytelling and the process of imagining the appearance of people's dreams and ideas. To Tim there's an importance to our society and our culture in expressing tales.

Tim's formal training came in the form of a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Media Arts & Animation at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, Illinois. There he fell in love with pre-production work including story boarding and character design. Since then he's worked as a freelance designer, illustrator, and art teacher independently and with a local community arts organization.

Tim Billman currently resides in central Michigan with his wonderful wife and their elderly cat.
